Empowering Adolescents in Contraceptive Care: Best Practices & Case Studies
This session will cover best practices for adolescent contraceptive counseling. We’ll explore key topics that affect how adolescents may view contraception, including pregnancy perceptions, reproductive coercion, and how legislation around confidentiality may affect how they seek care. Using case studies, we’ll examine CDC guidelines and evidence-based practices to assess eligibility for various contraceptive methods and address related concerns. Attendees will learn practical tips for discussing contraceptive risks, benefits, and side effects with teens in a supportive, nonjudgmental way, promoting informed decision-making and supporting their sexual and reproductive health goals.
Note: This training is being offered live. We are not able to send a copy of the recording or slides.
